Come celebrate Earth Week as we continue our multi-year effort to restore stream-side habitat and trails at beautiful O'Fallon Park, near Evergreen.
The O'Fallon, Corwina, and Pence Parks are among the most popular and heavily used of the Denver Mountain Parks system, established in the early 1900s. Bear Creek traverses the park complex, offering picnicking and trout fishing opportunities within an easy drive of Denver. The Bear Creek Trail is a popular regional multi-use trail that connects all three parks with Lair O' the Bear Park to the east.
In 2014, we will restore and protect stream-side habitat along Bear Creek. There will be a fun variety of tasks, including: harvest and planting of willows, installing protective buck'n'rail fencing, repairing trail erosion, and planting native seeds.
Rain date: Sunday, May 4. Please put this on your calendar if you're registering for this project.
