Enjoy the great outdoors on National Trails Day and continue our multi-year effort to improve trails and restore stream habitat at beautiful O'Fallon Park, near Evergreen.
The O'Fallon, Corwina, and Pence Parks are among the most popular and heavily used of the Denver Mountain Park system, established in the early 1900s.
One of the O'Fallon Park trails travels straight down a hill and is eroding and unsustainable. On this day, volunteers will enjoy great scenery as they begin a 1700 foot re-route of this trail. The project includes basic trail construction and rock work, so it is suitable for beginners and experienced volunteers alike.
Part 2 of this trail re-route will be on September 20. Consider signing up for both projects for extra satisfaction, and to see the finished product!
Rain date: June 14. Please put this on your calendar if you're registering for this project.
