Chainsaw ART Sculpture Challenge and STIHL endorsed Timberworks Event.
Hosted by: The South Park Chamber of Commerce (SPCC) and the South Park Friends of the Fairplay Library (SPFoFL) to support the development and construction of the South Park Learning Center, promote local businesses, and the non-profit organizations of South Park.
Event Schedule
Saturday June 28th:
- 8:00am-8:30am - Burrito Breakfast & Coffee served to all Competitors
- 8:30am – Event Grounds Open
- 9:00am – Carving Starts
- 10am – 6pm – Vendor Booths open and selling
- 9am-10am, 12:30pm-1:30pm – STIHL Clinics
- 1:30pm-2:00pm – Quick Carve
- 10:30am-12:00pm, 2pm-3:30pm, 4pm-5:30pm- 3 x 90 minute shows/Timberworks Shows
- 6:30pm-7:30pm – Split Window opens for Bongo Love
- 6:30pm – BBQ & Concert in the Fairgrounds Barn
- 7:30pm – 9:30pm – Concert Saturday night at the Fairgrounds Barn w/Bongo Love. $25/ Ticket for concert & meal, Beer , wine & soda are for purchase. Included for the chainsaw competitors, and top tier sponsors.
- 6:30pm – Beauty and the Beast Movie at the Rec. Center(to support the SPFoFL): $5 donation per child covers babysitters (from 6:30-8:00pm), Popcorn, and Juice boxes
Sunday June 29th:
- 8:30am – Event grounds open
- 9am – 12pm – Carving
- 12pm – Summer Students from the Colorado Center for the Blind will be “judging” the competitors sculptors for special CCB awards to be given out at 5pm.
- 9am – 5:30pm – Vendor Booths open and selling.
- 9am-10am, 11am-12pm, 2:30pm-3:30pm – STIHL Clinics
- 1:30-2:00pm – Quick Carve
- 9:30am-11:00am, 12:30pm-2:00pm, 3:30pm-5:00pm – 3 x 90 minute Timberworks Shows
- 5:00pm – Awards/Closing Ceremony.
