IREA and Xcel schedule maintenance outage for Conifer area transmission line.
Repair work expected to take four hours.
(Conifer) – Intermountain Rural Electric Association will be working with Xcel Energy on May 15, 2014 to conduct necessary maintenance to the transmission line that serves customers along the Highway 285 corridor from Tiny Town to Conifer. The maintenance outage is scheduled from 10:00 p.m. to approximately 2:00 a.m. Intermountain customers who are in the affected area will receive a letter in the mail the week of April 28th from IREA to notify them of the scheduled outage.
The electric utilities hope to hold the duration of the outage to four hours; the actual time it takes to complete the system maintenance may vary and is weather-dependent.
If inclement weather occurs that will not allow the work to take place on May 15th, the outage will be rescheduled for a later date to be determined. If the work needs to be rescheduled, affected customers will be notified of the change.
