Experience the Story of Staunton State Park! The story of Staunton State Park began almost 100 years ago. This year in honor of the park’s First Anniversary we are hosting a Living History Celebration. This event will include family friendly activities. Activities will be held at the Ranch Hand Group Picnic Area as well as the Staunton Cabin District. Join the celebration!
Activities will include:
- Face Painting and Craft Table
- Hunt for the Reynolds Gang Treasure that has been buried for over 150 years
- Guided Hikes: Staunton Cabin 10am & 2pm, Mystery History Hikes 11am & 1pm
- Musical performances
- Food preparation demonstrations, Cabin building demos
- Medicinal herb identification and Medical care 100 years ago
- Presentations and displays by local historical groups
