Women's representation in the United State has increased sluggishly over the last century. Currently, women account for approximately 18 percent of Congress and less than a quarter of state legislatures and statewide executive positions. Although women have increased their share of offices held, women's representation is still far from parity. Learn more about the efforts to improve our parity.
