Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, 5.5.17

Oh yes! More than Civil War, more than Apocalypse, more than the next Star Wars installment, I am so looking forward to this movie! Having to wait until May 5, 2017 is going to try my patience...

Kurt Russell would have to be some kinda fool to think we're all alone in this universe after starring in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2!!

And there you have the best Facebook post I have seen or will see in a while.

Not only has James Gunn commenced production on GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2, which he has said will go wilder and weirder than the megahit first film. Not only does he have one of my favorite recent up-and-comers, Elizabeth Debicki (THE GREAT GATSBY, THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E.) joining the cast. Not only are his principal cast, but also the awesome Michael Rooker, and Karen Gillan (no John C. Reilly??) returning for seconds.

But Kurt Russell is in it.

Inevitably, the current assumption is that he’s playing Star-Lord’s dad (who Gunn has repeatedly insisted will NOT be J’son of Spartax), but no one’s admitting it just yet.

 Eagerly waiting. The first one was the best movie that summer.

Can't get enough Baby Groot? 'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' is for you
By Josh Dickey

SAN DIEGO — Baby Groot is out of his pot and running wild in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 — and the world is gonna go nuts for him. The crowd at Comic-Con did, anyway.

Marvel Studios revealed a generous reel of footage from the Guardians sequel at their Saturday night Hall H panel, and now the plant is out of the bag: Groot is still just a lil' guy in the big galaxy.

Though he's only 6 or 8 inches tall, Groot is ambulatory, sentient and no wallflower. But he's still having a little trouble grasping language.

Sly Stallone Confirmed, Star Lord’s Parents’ Sex Life Discussed In Hilarious ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy 2’ Trailer – Comic-Con

Shocking no one, rumors about Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 turned out to be true: Kurt Russell is playing Star Lord’s dad who turns out to be Ego, the Living Planet. Oh, and Sylvester Stallone is in the film too. In other words, Tango & Cash are reuniting in the Marvel Universe.

In a nutshell, the trailer makes it clear Guardians 2 is aiming to be everything you loved about Guardians 1 but even more. It kicks off with plenty of interplay between the main characters, still jelling as a team as the film takes place just a few months after the first one but definitely very much a unit. It then turns to listing off just who is in the film, confirming the numerous casting announcements and rumors, most notably Stallone, dressed as a member of Nova Corps, followed by Russell.

B) Should be a great sequel and Vin Diesel only has to remember one line!

Saw the trailer before Dr. Strange and thought it was a little vague, more just an re-introduction of the old characters.

Better, funnier, trailer before Rogue One with a mischievous Groot and a exasperated Rocket. Can't wait!

'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' just screened for critics, and the first reactions are in

It's showtime, a-holes.

The first press screenings for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 have begun – and that means the first wave of social media reactions for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 are in.

Yours truly was one of the critics who got to check out the latest Marvel adventure this week. And as you can see , I was entirely won over.

...In any case, fair warning: you'll want to time your bathroom breaks carefully to account for the fact that there are not one, not two, but five credits scenes in Vol. 2.

James Gunn is committed to writing & directing GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3!!!
