Question for the 285 Tech Crew

Is there a way to attach pictures found on Facebook? I know I can grab a picture and put it up on a Photo bucket or Smug mug account, but that seems such a waste since the picture is already up on the web. I suppose this would also apply to videos that are posted on FB and not on Youtube or Viemo.

We tried doing that and I could not. You want to be careful with hot linking a photo. I do it if I am posting a story from a site. But it costs the host bandwidth so I do not hot link otherwise.

We are guessing FB has it set up so they don't have to pay for extra bandwidth. Also, imageshack has a link to where you just add the url of the photo and it will download. (skipping the step of downloading) I don't know if that will work with FB links or not.



We found a new hosting site that is alot faster than imagashack if you are interested. I could not find anything on imageplay.net to download from a link though.
