Anyone know if the above lakes are accessible from Grant? I'm taking a flatlander fishing tomorrow and they are close.

Thx

Both are on the other side of Guanella Pass and are not accessible from the Grant side. The road is closed just south of the top of the pass.

Thanks Joe - but I lump Tarryall and Jefferson Lake together. I went to Tarryall about a month ago & froze my pettuties off. The wind is wicked and it gets soooooooooooooooooo cold when the sun goes behind a cloud! I don't know - I may give it another try...it is supposed to be pretty warm tomorrow...

If you are close to Conifer, you can go to I-70 through Evergreen and get to Georgetown in about the same amount of time it would take to go other Guanella Pass. From there you've got not only some great fishing spots but also some great shopping in a quaint little mountain town.

Well, I think Pine Valley is nice, when I have been hiking there I have seen people catching a few fish, and it is easy access and warm! Good luck.
PS, ditto on Georgetown Lake, you can always bail and go to a nice restaurant in town.
