While I don't know you or your family, please accept my heartfelt condolences. There are few things in life as difficult to deal with as the loss of a parent. You have my deepest sympathy and hopes and prayers for making sense of the event and coming to terms with your loss.
My personal experience has been that I have never accepted the loss of my parents but I have come to a place that allows me to cope with it and find some peace. No one lives forever but few things hurt as much as the loss of a family member.
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
