This project consists of culvert restoration and improvements including placement of horizontal elliptical reinforced concrete pipe (HERCP) in the existing concrete box culverts, annular grouting, wingwalls, headwalls, and earthwork on SH 9 structures G-12-L and G-12-G in the Town of Alma in Park County. Completion: 54 work days. Resident Engineer: Steve Harelson, CDOT Region 1, Golden.

This project consists of concrete slab replacement using the cast in place method, pavement markings, and traffic control on I-25 from north of SH 66 to the Colorado/Wyoming state line (mileposts 243.9-298.878). Completion: June 15, 2012. Maintenance Superintendent: Dennis Allen, CDOT Region 4, Greeley.

Drainage Improvements on US 40 in Clear Creek County
This project consists of drainage improvements including mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) block face replacement, underdrain, geomembrane, relay pipe, temporary barrier, erosion control, and traffic control on US 40 on Berthoud Pass in Clear Creek County. Completion: 35 work days. Resident Engineer: Steve Harelson, CDOT Region 1, Dumont.
Bids for project NH 0403-053 were rejected in accordance with Section 43-1-113(16), C.R.S., as amended, which states:
"In the event that there are less than three bidders on a highway project, no award shall be made if such award is more than ten percent over the estimate of the department of transportation on the project; except that, if the estimate of the department on the project is less than one million dollars and there are fewer than three bidders, the executive director may make an award of more than ten percent, but less than twenty-five percent over the estimate of the department to the low responsible bidder, as defined in section 24-103-101 (3), C.R.S."

Thursday, July 21, 2011, 10 a.m. (Fourth Reading) – Project SHE 0063-036 consists of mast arm and signal upgrades on I-70 from mileposts 11.9-12.25 and on US 6 from mileposts 37.161-37.693 in Mesa County. Completion: 60 work days. Traffic Engineer: Sean Yeates, CDOT Region 3, Grand Junction.

Thursday, July 21, 2011, 10 a.m. (Fifth Reading) – Project FSA 1192-017 consists of signalization of intersection including curb and gutter, curb ramps, and sidewalk on SH 119 at Weld County Road 7.5 in Weld County. Completion: 25 work days. Traffic Engineer: Larry Haas, CDOT Region 4, Greeley. This is a FASTER safety project.

Thursday, July 21, 2011, 10 a.m. (Sixth Reading) – Project STM 085A-014 consists of signal replacement and ADA ramp upgrades on all four corners of the intersection in Fountain at US 85 and Ohio Avenue in El Paso County. Completion: 25 work days. Traffic Engineer: Jay D Johnson, CDOT Region 2, Pueblo.

Thursday, July 28, 2011, 10 a.m. (First Reading) – Project FBR 2873-160 consists of bridge replacement, hot mix asphalt and stone matrix asphalt, drainage, curb and gutter, sidewalk, striping, signing, and guardrail on US 287 (Federal Blvd.) over US 40 (Colfax Ave.) in Denver. Completion: 352 work days. Resident Engineer: Jay Hendrickson, CDOT Region 6, Denver. This is a FASTER bridge project.

Bid June 16, 2011, awarded June 29, 2011, project NH 093A-008 consists of installation of traffic interconnect conduit on SH 93 including shoulder widening from 58th to 82nd Avenues and from SH 72 to SH 128, an overlay from 58th Avenue to SH 128, rumble strip installation along shoulders six feet or wider and down the center where the road is a two lane highway, and traffic signal replacement at Iowa in Jefferson County. Bid June 9, 2011, awarded June 30, 2011, project NH 5501-019 consists of widening to a new four-lane divided highway through the intersection of US 550 and La Plata County Rd. 302 including unclassified excavation, full depth reclamation, aggregate base course, hot mix asphalt paving, right-of-way fencing, deer fencing, deer guards, relocation of irrigation systems, deer ramps, drainage improvements, wildlife detection system signing, and striping in La Plata County. Completion: 210 work days. Resident Engineer: Mike Coggins, CDOT Region 5, Durango. Awarded to: Old Castle SW Group Inc., Grand Junction, CO. Amount: $4,771,319.53 DBE Goal – 11.8%; Committed – 13.14%
