Remember the little girl whose body was dumped in a duffle bag in Deer Creek Canyon?

Hopefully it leads to a solution and conviction in this crime.

Well, not a conviction. The prime suspect died of natural causes in 2001. But at least closure.

I would hope if it was the prime suspects DNA, a quick disclosure would be made.

I think about her every time I drive by the spot in Deer Creek Canyon where they found her body. Such a waste.

Police are holding a news conference tomorrow to announce the DNA results. I'm sure the family has already been told. The family pretty much knew who it was early on and said only DNA results would positively identify the killer. I'm glad they have closure.

Had Englewood police spread news of her disappearance immediately, she might have been saved, but they waited until the next day to make the plea for help. By then, she was already dead.
