I am very excited to let you know that I now have email.
Although I certainly would enjoy trading emails with you; being 8 years old, I might grow tired of emailing, forget to get back to you, or even have email taken away (not that this would ever happen )....so if I don't get back to you right away please forgive me. =)
Oh, just so you know, my mommy and daddy will be helping me, so don't worry about me being on the internet.
My 8 year old son started emailing at the beginning of the school year. It's a good way for him to practice "writing" - putting together a letter in logical fashion, using proper grammar, etc, and also keep in touch with out-of-state/country friends and relatives. Your granddaughter had a great first email Grady!
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
Skype is very cool I love that i can talk to someone I would not be able to see otherwise. I am happy about that but if I had kids now I would not allow them any email and block access to the interenet unless I knew exactly what they were doing and were with them, I would also hold off as long as possible. The only other thing is it is so nice to have letters from kids in their cute handwriting.
