JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. -- A flash freeze on U.S. Highway 285 nearly killed two people Saturday when their SUV went hurtling off a cliff.
“When I went off it I didn’t think we were going to live. ‘Cause I know that cliff,” said Troy Claycomb, recovering from serious injuries after sliding off the roadway just before the Morrison exit.
