I met Mr. Mosbey at the Conifer Town Hall Meeting last month, and he's very eager to connect with the community, hear your ideas, and help the library serve you better. He's posted in our
Family Room Forum
about story times for kids, and asking for ideas for after-school programming for teenagers, please add your voice to help make our community library the best it can be, and take your kids to story times, or otherwise patronize all it has to offer (I was surprised to learn that they do have e-borrowing available - take your Kindle and borrow a book)! Thanks!!
There’s a new face at the Conifer Library since Brian Mosbey took over as supervisor in January. The 41-year-old Littleton resident said he’s looking forward to working with the community.
Mosbey said he hopes to increase the programming for all ages.
Formerly at Wheat Ridge Library, Mosbey said he’s been scoping out ideas on how the library might create partnerships to benefit Conifer residents.
After a recent meeting with Mary Alice Cohen at Mountain Resource Center, Cohen said she and Mosbey talked about offering computer classes to the people served by MRC and, since the nonprofit offers early childhood classes, possibly getting together on storytimes.
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
