I find it difficult to believe that a pizio-electric device would discharge enough electricity to sustain the devices that are plugged in to the power strip in this video but I'll confess I am curious:

If this actually works it would be a nice addition to anyone's bug out bag and/or power outage kit.
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Quick tell the Cheu. That should be worth a few hundred million dollar investment of taxpayers $.
Seriously, is that a joke. It does not jive with anything I learned of electronics. At least that is how I remember it. Perhaps one of our resident EEs could chime in.
Edit: re your comment, and how did the power strip store the energy. As I recall the voltage would only be present during the click.
How about putting everyone on welfare to work cranking these things over and connect them to the grid? Free (if you over look paying them welfare...) electricity! How many would it take to power a city the size of Denver? How many clicks a minute would it take to produce a watt?
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
