The ONLY posted scanner information that is filtered is personally identifying information IF it is given.
Most of the time it is not......

So what exactly do you think is filtered away from your ears JSG....or are you just trolling again?

I know nerves are on edge but you need to take a breath, Becky. JSC wasn't criticizing or trolling (as I understood him, anyway). He was stating a fact which you confirmed. Scanner posters also filter out medical calls. No criticism there, either. Simply a fact.

I am fine MtnGramma. JSG involves a good deal of his time attempting to get under my skin.
My memory of other threads is still good so I take his statements as a whole.
A LOT of really good people spend a lot of time dedicated to keeping their community informed and I do take a bit of an offense when it is devalued, as he has done in the past.

Don't flatter yourself.

There are calls that are filtered or not posted for whatever reason. It's not just personally identifiable information.

I was just pointing out the PIO is not the only person who filters information. The media does it too.

That's why I like to listen to the police radio myself and eliminate the middle man.

I completely agree. The majority of them are volunteers, I'm guessing.

They are heroes in my book.

A Giant Thank You from 285 Bound, the Scanners and Communities Bound. You all are what makes this site and the community was amazing as always.

We are so sorry about your loved ones and friends who lost something in this fire but we do want you to know that we are in awe of the togetherness and help you all gave each other. This site, and I know many people on the internet thank you as well!
