I've been here since the 90's so I decided to get Pioneer license plates for my BMW Z4...Guess that makes me a native now

I got Civil Air Patrol plates last week. I'm not in the CAP, but I saw them and thought, "What the heck? Why not?" They're new and not even on the state website yet.

Its a shame they opened up the pioneer plates to anyone. We got ours years ago when you actually had to be a pioneer/Colorado native. My husbands family has been in CO since long before it became a state. The plate actually meant something. At least they changed the design so you can tell who really is a Colorado "pioneer" and who isn't.

Its illegal for the state to ask for info on your family heritage in your atempts to obtain the plates..Besides..My dad was hired as a pilot by United Air Lines here in 1965 and we lived in apartments by Stapleton from 65 to 66 before moving to Chicago..So technically I am a native Archer
