Black to Brass to save your a$$

I was wiring up a hanging lamp I made and needed to a plug on the end. The plug had silver, brass, and green connectors. Of course, ground to green, but I always get mixed up on black (power) and white (neutral). Anyway, I found a website and that saying was there so never again will I forget.

Any other handy sayings to keep things straight in your head?
