Flew from Durango to Denver yesterday afternoon ---- and the flight path went straight over the fire.
It didn't look too bad when we flew over --- although the area sure as heck looked dry.
The lady sitting next to me was from Nebraska - thinking about moving to Colorado.
She was initially really impressed by the look of houses in Conifer - then said "oh my -- what's that?" (that's how I knew just what she was looking at).
"That's the price you occasionally pay for living in the mountains" was my response.
