Beautiful, big black bear by the Burland ponds. Please don't leave out your trash. Bear is visiting a construction site, creating havoc cuz some idiot workers don't take home the remains of their lunches, snacks.

You know, I think I would take the birdfeeders down when the bears weren't around.

We have not seen them but they have left behind a few presents which the dogs love to roll in. Not exactly what I want to deal with just before I have to go to work.

lol Have to wonder about the Vermont governor I hope he has more sense as a governor than as a homeowner.

Yep we see one pretty regularly. She knows she can't come to the house but the rest is for her use. She is quite playful, jumping around, digging for bugs in rotted wood.

Last year when she was a yearling the mountain lions had the run of the place making the deer scatter. This year the lions are moving further out and giving her space. Neither wants to mess with each other. We are seeing the deer again. Quite a change.
