In 1976- Jean-Pierre Dutilleaux was first to make contact with the primitíve Toulambis (Pápua New Guiana) ,

tribe. They never had contact with the outside world and never saw a white man.

That's too bad. Let's bring our diseases and exploit them, like usual.

Guess I didn't take it that way. I thought it was interesting the progression...from initial fear, to curiosity, then to excitement.

Fear to curiosity to excitement and then when they realize what the ramifications are back to fear. They should just leave them alone. Now there will be tourists visiting to see what was once a primitive tribe.

White men bringing disease? Actually in deepest, darkest Africa and New Guinea, one way the natives kept the colonists away was malaria and other dread diseases that killed them. Panama Canal anyone?

New Guinea fascinates me, it was so hard to traverse the interior that it developed dozens of languages and tribes who had very little contact with each other.

This reminds me of the Tasaday hoax and the Toulambi hoax.
