Have a friend I hike with who lives in the area. She sees the big horn sheep and bull moose quite frequently. I have seen moose about 5 times in the last couple of months. Early mornings have been the best viewing. He likes baths in the early mornings.

House sitting for a friend and saw him on my way out. He decided he wasn't moving off the road so I sat and watched for a few minutes.
Ouch MamaRama, guess moose rules.
Check out the goslings on the stream. Seems like it would be too cold for a swim but I guess not.
Anyone know where the great blue heron's nest is. I see it quite regularly but haven't traced it back to anywhere.

Enjoy your walk. Saw some big horn sheep yesterday on the side of a hill not minding its steepness at all.

Over early this morning to check on friend's home near 43 and 47. Big horn sheep on the side of the hill. Hoped to see the moose but didn't.
Firewatch today so headed over to Burland. Friend had already let me know to keep an eye out for a brown colored black bear and her two cubs. Saw them!!! Sorry no pix. Looks like we won't be walking the stream. Bears rule! We hope there won't be any idiots out making campfires. We will be watching from a distance.
