From Ms Sunshine Girl:

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

Fire is contained. Nice view from 285. That one would be hike to get to. Straight up the cliff behind the Meyer house.

Fingers crossed for more rain and no more lightening! Hopefully the NWS's predictions come true tomorrow!

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Very scary today! Our neighbor called to tell us that there was a fire on our mountain. There is only one way in or out from Eagle Cliff and we evacuated within about 3 minutes because we were afraid the road could close up with fire. We were relieved to see that it was high up and surrounded pretty well with rocks. My daughter and her friend that was staying over was on Channel 9 news tonight. They have a crew staying with the fire tonight and hopefully we will get some rain. Way to close for comfort! It had to be from a lightening strike. We saw a flash of lightening and less than a second later a super loud boom.

Stay safe and pay attention to what is left of the fire, professional fire fighters are on the job but it has been too dry for too long and there's no telling what might happen next. Fingers crossed for more rain soon!

Thanks and I agree. They are staying with it tonight and two sheriff's suv's will stay at the end of the road to watch it too. They came to our house earlier and they were very helpful. Our home owner's insurance agent even called us about 30 mins. after the fire started. That is service!

You would have to give up fast food and drop a 200 lbs before you could begin to think about this hike. It is always nice to have dreams.
