I think 285bound needs a "green forum", in lieu of that I'll post this here

For some reason, I am really intrigued by the mini-cabins they offer. We have a nice big house on our property, but I would love to put a spartan mini-cabin back in the trees overlooking our pond and write the Great American Novel in my hermitage.

Tell ya what when algore sells his (9?) houses and moves into one of these "outhouses" I'll rethink my stand on all this "Green " BS, until then "BITE ME, and I'll add on another room, and leave the windows open in the winter.

All kidding aside, my 800 sq ft cabin is all we need for 2. Cheap and low maintenance just like me! My propane is about $100/month during the winter, electric $40-50. Smaller is ok, unless you entertain a lot of visitors. They don't stay as long in my place! :)
