Awesome! Congratulations to all of you!

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

BZ!! On to C school or off to his first duty station?

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Otis -

He needs to work on a moored reactor for about 6 months ---- then he's off to a boat (sub) --- most likely stationed in Hawaii --- but we don't really know where, for sure.

He'll be a mystery to us before the year is done.

Pass on my thanks to your son for his service! I know how hard it is for family members to not know where there sons and daughters are due to the nature of their jobs, being out of communication for months at a time (especially in the day and age of the cell phone and the Internet). I'm not sure what's worse as a young man just entering the Navy, the time away from family and friends or the barrage of questions you've sworn not to answer from the same people!

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

his mom keeps saying that he's all grown up
I'm not there, yet!

Incidentally, he needs to sell his car before he deploys --- so if anyone
wants a pimped out Volkswagen GTI - let me know.
