Your Wall is meant to supplement the forums, only replace them if you don't like or want to be so public with what you like to share. It was very important to me that everyone in the community continue to have a voice, a place to share good news, post grievances, meet new friends, and help support each other. Some people are intimidated by the forums, or prefer to lurk, and having their own space to share their thoughts will hopefully be an enticing, acceptable alternative option.
I have to look to see if it's possible to have notifications sent about activity on your Connection's walls. Forming connections allows each person to control who can see what they post - you can choose Private, Connections only, Connections of Connections, or Public. It does not prevent anyone from posting on your wall, just who can see what you post. If I'm not mistaken, it should be possible to set it so that everyone can moderate their own Profile page - remove unwanted Wall posts, comments on your blogs, etc. I'm still learning the system myself so don't hold me to that.

NO offense to anyone.....I just do NOT do a "social media" extra curricular agenda.....I think it's
great that others will have the opportunity to expand their circle of friends/contacts, I tend to
be pretty private and do not trust cyber stuff.....flying low and UNDER the radar is my objective.

Hi WindPeak and welcome to MMT! To answer your question, yes your Wall is on your Profile Page, but there is a lot more on your Profile Page than just your Wall. You can also upload photos, videos, enter any contact information or personal information that you'd like to share with everyone (only what you are comfortable sharing publicly, because this is like putting it in the newspaper), make Connections with other members, and write a blog! You can access it by clicking on "Community" on the menu bar at the top of the page, then "My Profile", the first selection underneath.
