Just waving hello - from scenic Doha.

Humorous itinerary:
- Durango
- Denver
- Dulles
- Dubai
- Doha

Every airport has a "D" in it!

Note to self ---- to heck with United for now on.

The food stinks, and the service does, too.

Entertainment system broke 30 minutes from Dulles, and lights came on every 30 minutes......
(crew said there was a computer glitch)

This is among the worst trips I've ever had to the Muddle East. Won't be flying United again.

We'll that certainly does not sound pleasant bb, sorry to hear that. Hubby's company flies United all the time and I've found that unless you are one of their "special people" (Premiere Exec or above), then it's not much fun to fly with them at all.

Where exactly I'd Doha? I know I could look it up, but I'm feeling a little lazy. LOL

The pictures on Wiki look beautiful, though it is sad to read that they razed almost everything that had existed before the economic boom and in the rush to build the modern city. Fascinating history, I shall have to visit some day. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doha

If you get the chance, please share some pics!

I'm not really in the tourist area, so no photos, this trip.

Before you start thinking it's such a great place, look at the climate table on your link.

Still in the mid 90s, with 60+ percent humidity.

I'm okay with that - I grew up in Cincinnati - that's par for the course in the summer (actually, the humidity is usually higher)! :)

If you're interested - here's some reasonably good info about Doha.
(I'm not much of a tourist, though --- I usually travel to the region to work - then come home)

The older I get, the more I hate traveling. I had to make a short training trip to New Jersey last month and was dreading it.
