"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

For the record, I wasn't the one questioning whether or not it was Ash Wednesday. In his initial post Fred asked about behaviors to improve. I suggested he improve his behavior regarding links for Lent.

As a devote Lutheran (Catholic lite), I attend church on a regular basis. I make a point to be in church on Christmas, Easter, for weddings, funerals, and baptisms of new family members so I'm in church at least six times a year...

Last year I tried giving up Lent for Lent but was told that wasn't exactly compliant with the rules, this year I'm giving up Brussel sprouts and broccoli.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus
