Conifer High Camera Club ?????

Quite some time ago, long before there was a MMT, someone was looking for a donation of a film SLR camera for the Conifer High camera club.

I have a Minolta X700 MPS film camera, with the stock Minolta 50 mm lens, a Minolta 70-300 mm zoom lens, hot shoe strobe (flash), and case. I would be willing to donate the entire set to the school. If they are still looking have someone contact me. Otherwise it's for sale.

I purchased the camera and everything with it new, it's still in great shape.

$100.00

If the lens is EF, it should work for a digital SLR.
There are still a few things that you can do with a film camera that most digital cameras have a difficult time with without post processing and photo software fixes.
I like them for very long exposures (star trails and meteors) or multiple exposures with different colored filters. I think some stores still sell B/W infrared film too.

???? Both lens are stock that came with the camera when new.

My new camera is a Cannon SX50 HS. I haven't figured out a tenth of what it's capable of.

Great mind think alike. I bought the same one in January. Still not fully aware of all it's functions. Did you get a recall notice on the viewfinder?

I kept my Cannon digital SLR. I bet that 70-300mm lens would work with it.

Sent you an email Grady.

Thank you for offering this!

Grady and Photo-fish with your SX50 HS how does it do when you use the telephoto? Do you need a tripod to keep it steady? I tried a friend's very expensive Canon 5D and long lens, great pix but it required a heavy duty tripod.
