Received an email from a friend who was over at Burland Ponds. Anyone driven by recently? Heavy equipment I am told to clean out some debris from clogged culvert or culverts and water pretty high but not running over the road yet.
How is Deer Creek on 285 and further up on PC43? Any issues there?
Same friend was going to walk Tanglewood Trail but ran into issues with Deer Creek running over PC43 above the campgrounds and nowhere to park. Lots of bridges to property washed out.
We went to look at the Burland ponds the other day and one culvert looks like it is still jammed and clogged with debris. And the creek so high up it was lapping over the berm of the furthest pond from the road. Wonder how much damage that is doing.
If you are fishing please use caution.
If you are anywhere near Deer Creek please use caution as a break in any pond upstream could cause flash flooding, not to mention the sides peeling off and sending you downstream.
Anyone been to the ponds yesterday or today? With all the heat and more snow melt from the peaks I am wondering how they are doing. If I wasn't on oxygen and bedridden due to the pollen and dust I would go drive by myself. Thanks.
Unfortunately I'm not going to be out that way anytime soon. Thanks for the updates though Ashley!
