An Open Letter to the Fairplay Flume.

In a time where printed news sources are struggling to stay alive....I am dismayed that the Fairplay Flume chooses to be about as irrelevant to the community it serves as it can possibly be.
Last weeks headline...."Bailey preschooler reads 1000 books".....Actually...his mother read him 1000 books.
This is news? What I would really like to know is the facts surrounding a dead body being found in my back yard or why several Jeffco deputies responded in conjunction with Park County deputies last night to a residence on Park Cty 43. Are we safe in our homes anymore? Who do we look to to tell us if we are safe if not our local paper.
If you want to be relevant to your community, if you want us to pay for your online subscription or the .75 cents you ask for the paper,.....provide the news we need as opposed to the silly BS you pass off as news.
I learn more from this website or Facebook than i ever get from you.
I don't feel safe in my community right now and I would like to know why.
