C 130's last night and evening before

Anyone see the C130's about 10:30 last night all lit up? And at dusk the evening before? They weren't flying quite as low as they usually do daytime. I sure hope they aren't all lit up when they are actually flying maneuvers overseas. Quite the sight to see.

One of my friends posted a photo on Facebook of them, it was pretty cool.

I'm usually not a fan of low flying planes late at night but when I saw it was the C130's I gave a thumbs up and wished them luck wherever they go. This area with its steep slopes must resemble areas they will be flying?

Or at least good flight training with difficult terrain and the wind patterns that come with the hills and valleys.

Our neck of the woods is a great place for pilots to practice terrain masking and other low altitude flight maneuvers. When I am rattled out of bed by military aircraft flying low or blasting through my area at close to full military power I remind myself that those are the sights and sounds of freedom!

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
