• Free Park Entrance
to all CO State Parks on Monday August 3rd for Colorado Day!
Colorado Parks and Wildlife joins the celebration of Colorado's acceptance into statehood with free access to all Colorado State Parks on Monday, August 3. Park entrance fees are waived, but activities like fishing and camping will still require a valid license or permit. Colorado was first recognized as a state on August 1, 1876. The first addition to the Colorado state park system, Cherry Creek State Park, emerged some fifty-six years later. Celebrate the statehood of Colorado at one of our 42 beautiful state parks or more than 350 state wildlife areas.
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
