JJ Madwell's is open for dinner! Tony rented a generator and is serving it up if you don't feel like grilling out (and getting into your fridge too much). Many thanks to Pam Finn for the heads-up on our FB page.
Also, another message from IREA:
Mike Kopp of Intermountain Rural Electric Association issued a statement Monday saying that because of a mechanical failure of an Xcel Energy high-voltage switch at an electric substation near Morrison, Xcel has to de-energize the transmission line providing power to IREA customers along the Highway 285 corridor.
This means, from about 10 p.m. Tuesday to 3 a.m. Wednesday, customers are expected to be without power in Aspen Park, Conifer and Tiny Town, Kopp said.
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

A big thank you to: Conifer customers for their patience, Xcel, Elk Creek Fire Dept, Conifer Chamber, and the lineman who worked the outage!
