Paint a bowl to celebrate 25 years of “neighbors helping neighbors”

Help Mountain Resource Center celebrate its 25th anniversary by painting and donating a bowl for its annual major fundraising events – Bowls After Dark and Mountain Bowls.
Come to the “Picnic and Paint” bowl painting gathering between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15 at River Canyon Gallery, Rustic Square, Bailey.

Other opportunities to contribute a bowl:
• Purchase and paint a bowl at GoPaint! 4602 Plettner Drive in downtown Evergreen. Call 303-679-3089, www.gopaintfun.com
• Sponsor a celebrity bowl. Purchase a bowl at GoPaint! and have a local artisan decorate it.
• Sponsor a local student group, such as the Boy or Girl Scouts, to paint bowls.
• Host a bowl party for team building, girls’ night out or family fun. Call GoPaint! to arrange a private party.
• Buy a handmade bowl from your favorite art gallery and donate it.

Would you like to own one of these handcrafted bowls? You can choose a bowl and enjoy a meal, conversation and entertainment!

Bowls After Dark, a new event celebrating Mountain Resource Center’s 25th anniversary, will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15 at the Evergreen Lake House. Fred and Laura Churchley are honorary chairpersons for this event, and emcee is Nick Griffith of Fox 31. Tickets are $60 and include the gift of a souvenir bowl of your choice. The event includes food, live entertainment, cash bar, expanded silent auction, paddle auction and wine pull.

Mountain Bowls will be held Tuesday, Nov. 3 at Aspen Ridge Church, 27154 N Turkey Creek Rd, Evergreen. Lunch is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner is from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 and include a meal and a souvenir bowl.
