Odd that none of the news stations picked up Emily's parade today.

I guess it was just important to us. Denver News ends at C470. The Flight for Life flyover was cool.
I find it interesting that most people think this is about Emily's murder, yes, year 1 was a memorial. Now it is about School Safety that the ILUG is promoting, and Emily is the unfortunate posterchild. We still honor her life, raising money to bring awareness to the issue is important and deserves this platform.

I went down to Columbine this morning registered and rode part of the way. What an event!!!!!!! The sound of 2000 motorcycles all starting up and heading out at the same time, just amazing, and just like up here, people lining the route waving, holding signs. If you have a bike or have access to one, you need to go do this event.

On and they let Bailey, Conifer riders ride at the front.

There's no question or doubt whatsoever that the issue is important and deserves this platform!!!
And, no question or doubt that I'll probably always feel sad when the day is over -- fervently wishing the issue wasn't necessary to address at all, by anyone anywhere -- and at the same time, so proud of the foundation's work toward the better day we all hope for.
The turning of "lemons to lemonade" just couldn't have a better model than these community members!! I'm constantly inspired by what an incredibly positive outreach they have accomplished.

One of the stations did have about a 15 second segment on the parade.

We had a great time. One of the truly wonderful characteristics about John-Michael is that, with everything that is going on, he takes time to visit the various groups.

Oh, one person got stuck in the "johnnie." I believe that is the only "accident." I don't have the details, nor would I share them if I did.

I find it gratifying that the Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club was there to help lead and run tailgunner while part of the pack was Sons of Silence and other "1 percenters" and there was no trouble from anyone.

I believe they had more participation than in past years, possibly because it was on a Sunday.

7 News did a short piece on Emily's Parade. Showed the bikes starting up and leaving columbine.
I have pictures - just need to find some time to resize and post them.
