Just curious what others think of her. I remember the first time I saw her show, I was a stay at home mom with a little baby, and she was refreshing but it seems like money has skewed her thinking a bit and she just is not like us any more. I think her appeal was that she seemed to be just like all of us. She isn't anymore.
I've only seen her shows after watching the 20th anniversary collection (which was awesome, BTW! I cried and laughed a lot!) so I don't really have a comparison to draw from. I've heard from others who do watch that her Favorite Things episodes are now more filled with stuff us commoners couldn't possibly afford. I wonder if it's because she's lost touch, or if she wants to share those items that most of us wouldn't buy when she does that show (of course, only the lucky audience members partake then).
I believe she's been such a powerful force bringing issues out in the open that were not so much before and helping so many people, that I will always respect her for that, no matter how much she may have changed. I'm curious to see what she does with her new network too...
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
