Pete Igel, our Chief at Elk Creek Fire (a volunteer position) and his wife Annie have a 2-year old son, Tyson, in need of a kidney transplant. Thankfully, Pete is matched to be a donor and they are both going in for transplant surgery on February 3rd. As you can imagine, this is a pricey little procedure. Pete will be out of work for 8+ weeks.
To help raise funds, there is a Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser scheduled:
When: Sunday, January 30, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM
Where: Beaver Ranch Main Lodge at Conifer Community Park, 11369 S. Foxton Road, Aspen Park, CO
Also, donations can be sent to:
Tyson Igel Benefit Fund, c/o Wells Fargo Bank, P.O. Box 3488, Portland, OR 97208-3488
You can call Elk Creek Fire admin with any questions.
