Apple has suffered another embarrassment. A security breach has exposed iPad owners including dozens of CEOs, military officials, and top politicians. They—and every other buyer of the cellular-enabled tablet—could be vulnerable to spam marketing and malicious hacking.

I wonder if this effects IPhone as well. Another reason to dump AT&T!

Funny.

And the iPad thing is a backdoor that a security firm discovered that COULD be used by potential data thieves to get your e-mail address. iPad uses a different operating system than iPhone. I want to get one but I sure wouldn't buy the first version of ANY tech device. My iPhone is 2nd generation and I don't know how I'd live without it.

This Christmas expect to see a lot of tablets running Android. Apple's monopoly on tablet technology is over.

Apple never had a monopoly on the tablet. There were tablets before Apple came out with theirs. Google is working on an Android tablet and Samsung has already come out with one.

The same thing copying happened years ago when PCs were DOS and Apples were graphical. Next thing you know, PCs came out with Windows -- a copy of the Apple interface.

Competition always makes a better product.
