Rick Bernstein, executive director and business manager of Miners Alley Playhouse in Golden, said, "From an economic standpoint, in down times entertainment is one industry that has the opportunity to be stable, because people are always going to want to escape hard times."
Both theaters have won praise and acclaim for various productions and the Conifer StageDoor Theatre continues to offer several shows a year and workshop sessions for youth.
