We are Salado Restaurant and we are excited to be serving you! We opened this past June, hosting a South Park Chamber Mixer and Ribbon Cutting and have hit the ground running ever since. We are proud to bring a fresh choice to Fairplay and hope you will stop in to try us out! So far, we've had rave reviews and we look forward to hosting you, your family, and friends soon. About Us
Located in the historic mining town of Fairplay, Colorado, Salado welcomes you to explore our eclectic menu. You will discover a twist on southwest cuisine made with fresh ingredients. Our Story
We have 85 years combined restaurant experience and have worked together in several restaurants in Oregon and Colorado.

Owners Chad and Brandon Farr are brothers and chefs from Monches Wisconsin and gained much of their culinary expertise by working in fine dining restaurants, catering special events and working their way up from line cooks to executive chefs. They have both have a passion for cooking since they were young and compliment one another’s styles to create dishes that appease any palette.

Kristin Farr a Colorado native (Chad’s wife and business partner) has been in the food service industry for 26 years and has been serving casual to fine dining as well as general manager. She too has worked in Oregon as well as California and Kansas City. Her passion is working in the service industry and being a part of the community as a volunteer for local events and a board member of the boys and girls club. She and chad have lived in the area for 17 years and enjoy all the outdoor activities with their two boys (ages 8 and 11).

General manager Carrie Fabel (Brandon’s significant other) also a Colorado native has been working in the food and beverage industry since she was 15. In addition to creating a great dining experience for each guest, she loves to cook at home and partake in all of the outdoor activities our beautiful “backyard” has to offer. She has two boys ( ages 7 and 10). As a family we all want to be involved with our community and provide a great restaurant for all to enjoy.
