Broncos/Kansas City 13 November 2011

Coming off of a win over the Raiders on their home field has to be a morale boost for the Broncos but let's not forget that win makes the Broncos 3 & 5, not exactly a winning record. The Raiders helped to seal their own fate by giving up more yards in penalties than they rushed in the game and the interceptions didn't hurt the Bronco's efforts either.

Arrowhead stadium isn't the Black Hole but the Broncos don't have a good record there historically. The Chiefs lost to the Dolphins today and they are now 4 & 4, how the Broncos fare next week will depend on how well their running game works against the Chiefs defense, turnovers and interceptions on both sides of the ball, and which team is able to convert 3rd downs and deliver in the red zone.

I'll post the injury report and the link to the game center on the Broncos website as they become available. Of course that's all speculation on my part, what does the rest of the community afflicted with Broncomania think?

It won't hurt my feelings if my lack of optimism turns out to be wrong and the Broncos win next Sunday or any other game for the rest of this season or in the future. When you are prepared for the worst possible outcome anything better than that comes as a pleasant surprise.

I've been thinking about this away game for some time and it will be interesting to see if the Broncos can change the historical trend. Don't you just get the feeling that all those trends mean nothing to Tebow. He broke the one in Miami earlier and I'm hoping he will do the same at Arrowhead. Chiefs are in a tailspin and we may be catching them at a good time. It seems Fox was please with progress he saw in Tim. Today's game may well help him more than all the practices in gaining more confidence.

Kyle Orton never beat the Raiders in his career here but Tebow has, so sometimes you can beat the history. I think KC fans aren't as loud as they used to be and Tebow played in much bigger stadiums than Arrowhead. So far Vegas has the Chiefs as 4 point favorites.

Interesting. The betting crowd has no faith in Tebow or the Broncos. Well, can't say I have lots of faith, but I do have a lot of wishful thinking. If we could just get by another team with a win, it might just build enough momentum to be very competitive with the teams that remain on the schedule. We shall see if the game plan and Tebow evolve enough together to make an impact. Just wondering how much confidence plays a role in game results at this level? I know some consider it the difference maker especially in close games. Experience in bowling and tennis tells me the same thing. If so, then can our defense and offensive line improve significantly? I've a hard time believing there is that much difference from a physical or technique stand point as opposed to playing with confidence. Go Broncos.

QUESTIONABLE: S Jon McGraw - Shoulder.
PROBABLE: CB Javier Arenas - Ankle.

Doubtful – at least 75% chance player will not play
Questionable – 50-50 chance player will not play
Probable – virtual certainty player will be available for normal duty

Well Argyle, I don't believe and certainly hope the game does not unfold the way you see it. I think it will be close, and if we are behind in the 4th period, I believe we will win it. Where we differ in perception likely is in KC's ability to shut down our run and option play. The so called experts don't think that KC has the personnel to do it. I've not seen any games this year so I'm somewhat dependent on the expert's views instead of my own gut feelings.
