Not true.
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — After a blowout victory over the New York Giants, the Green Bay Packers' simplest path to the playoffs is clear: beat the rival Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field on Sunday and they're in.
The Packers also could make the playoffs if they lose to the Bears but have other circumstances fall in their favor. Coach Mike McCarthy certainly doesn't want his players thinking that way.
McCarthy insists he's not even aware of the other potential playoff scenarios beyond the Packers winning their way in, saying nothing matters beyond his team getting its 10th win of the season.

P-F, I would not be surprised if the Packers make the playoffs, quite the contrary. My point was (and is) that for every true Bears fan and every true Packer fan the playoffs are not the plum of the NFL season. What we NFL North fans in Chicago and Green Bay care about mostly is placing above the arch rival Bears/Packers.
And, again, no matter what happens on 1/2/11 the Bears are the champs of the division.
Actually P-F I have to hand it to you. You are a most unusual Packer fan in that you have written: "The Packers also could make the playoffs if they lose to the Bears ..." Never in my many years as a Bears fan have I heard a Packer fan utter such words. Your realistic appoach as a fan of your team is refreshing to say the least. Welcome to the real world my friend.
(And yes, I can accept the possibility of the Bears losing.)

I NEVER uttered those words... That was an AP quote not mine. I bleed cheese and like all true Packer fans I support them win or tie.
