Ugh, I think it's a bad move. Why hire someone who's proven to be mediocre at best the last several seasons? Guess that article I posted a little while back about not being able to hire a good coach was right...unless Fox proves me wrong!

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

Hmmmm.... We hired the one coach with a team worse than ours this year?

At least he has had winning seasons...he brought the panthers from a 1-15 I believe to the superbowl in 2 yrs....

I do like the fact that he is a defensive mind.

Too bad future generations aren't here to see all the great things we are spending their $$ on!!

This will be interesting. Considering left a team whose owner likes an austere budget, it's unlikely there was much support for the coach's player desires. Additionally, it seems the Panthers were psychologically in disarray given the chasm from the top down. Let it all begin with the draft of Nick Fairley and good health to Elvis Dumervil, and resigning of Champ.

Then let the work begin on Tebow and Orton. I think zone blocking will really help the running game too.

Lol, ok Dr Phil...The average fan has no concept. These guys are playing for lottery money. They are all about how their career is going and they don't really care about much else, even winning. Of course the rare superstars who got their money wanna win but 80% of the team would take personal succuess and stats over wins everytime. Players don't quit trying because they don't like the coach or because the team was in "psychological in disarray". Only people that don't know what they are talking about say things like that. The Panthers had a bunch of young and crappy players, thats why they went 2-14 or 4-12 or whatever they went this year.
