The Troop Support Action Committee (TSAC) got another 12 boxes of donated goodies off to the three units (1 - U.S. Army and 2 - U.S. Marine Corps) we are supporting in Afghanistan.
TSAC is the "conduit" for shipping items donated by members of our generous mountain community.
The SPECIAL thing about this shipment was that is consisted primarily of donated Girl Scout cookies!
Several GS Troops in the mountain area were able to "shmooze" customers who really didn't want to take home (and eat) the cookies into buying them for the benefit of our brave men and women still in combat!
This was a BRILLIANT idea!
Over 500 boxes of cookies were delivered to Pinecammer (and TSAC'er) Mountain Dollar at her store in Evergreen.
She got them over to the TSAC storage locker in Pine Junction.
These were repacked into larger boxes and sent off on Friday, 16 March, from the Bailey Post Office.
Here is a photo of TSAC'rs RailBuf and BeerGodROX with the cart load of boxes headed to Afghanistan!
This is a shipment of 181.4 POUNDS of "mountain cheer" that will bring a LOT of smiles to our Troops!
A HUGE "Thank You" goes out to all of the mountain area Girl Scouts who made this happen!
If you would like to send goodies and smiles to our Troops over there, please feel free to drop items into the collection boxes at the front doors of the Aspen Park King Soopers and Conifer Safeway.
TSAC will pick up those items and get them into future shipments to the Troops.
If you would care to contribute funds used for postage expenses, please make your checks payable to: TSAC and mail them to: TSAC, P.O. Box 1033, Bailey, CO 80421-1033.
TSAC is a "small charity" under IRS rules 509(a)(2) and contributions are tax deductible.
TSAC will send you a receipt for your donation and a sincere note of thanks.
If you are wondering what the most highly valued items are over there, please check this link:

This will explain some of the very few rules we have and a LOT about the needed and prized items most favored and useful!
We know that the current situation in the Middle East is becoming ever more unpopular here at home.
We do NOT consider the politics of this situation.
TSAC is ONLY interested in the welfare of our Soldiers and Marines and we plan to be working for them as our motto says, "Until They All Come Home!"
THANK YOU!
