Greetings,

I plan to send a detailed update on Constant Contact, but I am overwhelmed with our upcoming event on Saturday August 4th called The Barefoot, Bluegrass & BBQ Festival. If you do not have tickets yet, you can get them at http://www.joy.org/events.html

WE REACHED 100 RESCUES THIS WEEK! That Was Our Goal For ALL of 2012!

As of this week, with the rescue of several more girls in Mumbai, India, we have now gone over 100 girls rescued this year! In 2011, we rescued a total of 72 girls! We still have 5 months left in 2012. This is so exciting for us and our teams. All the rescued girls are now in Safe Houses where they are being cared for. The most important thing for each of them is their Physical and emotional healing.

This is a picture of James, the Director of Operations for the Indian Rescue Mission Team. This picture was shot live on a rescue operation in Mumbai where there were 6 girls hidden in this secret hideout. The team had to break open the walls and to get the girls out from a dark room where one person could hardly stand. They sandwiched the 6 girls in this small place. These girls had to face this punishment from their perpetrators and brothel owners to avoid the Police. James wrote: “Our team clearly investigated that the girls were hidden in a dungeon behind this wall and we broke open and rescued those innocent victims. Those young girls were chained and counted as slaves.” Now – thanks to the efforts of the team in India – each one of those girls are free! Without your support – they would still be held captive.

There is not a human being on this earth that could ever convince me the exhaustive work we do to rescue children and young girls from an existence like this isn’t worth all the effort and expense to set them free. I truly thank God I am called to this work.

COMING SOON

· SAFE HOUSE in AMERICA: We are looking into the plans for a Safe House – right here in America (in Conifer, Colorado). In ALL of America there are less than 100 beds for children under the age of 17 who have been rescued out of the sex trade. That, my friends, is reprehensible.

· Think Again Conferences – a local Conference showing that child trafficking happens in our own neighborhoods (yes, yours too).

o The first one is scheduled for Conifer Community Church in Conifer, Colorado on September 22nd

· Women and Men For JOY Conferences – These are going to be separate conferences as there’s a completely different set of information needed for Women and Men

· TWO BOOKS on the Horizon – I have completed the manuscript for a children’s book on child trafficking titled: My Mommy Sold Me, Because She Loves Me and am getting ready to begin work on a book tentatively titled The JOY of Freedom with my good friend (and editor) Wendy Francisco.

I sincerely hope you can make it to the Barefoot, Bluegrass & BBQ Festival. It would be great to see you and we could use your support there. That’s of course – if you live in Colorado.

Well my friends, that’s it for now. Like I said, I just wanted to make these brief announcements and will send a detailed update after our Event on Saturday.

Be blessed and be a blessing,
Dr. Jeff Brodsky
