Police hit ratios, or hits per rounds fired in actual shot outs. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/05/08/nyreg ... gewanted.. .
As can be seen, actual hits on target when being fired at drop to somewhere between 1 in 3 to 1 in 6 rounds fired. These are our highly trained professionals, not ordinary gun owning law abiding citizens. So do the Democrats in Colorado seek to protect the criminal by limiting magazine capacity, as only the law abiding follow laws in the first place, or seek more civilian deaths due to limiting their ability to defend themselves? People like to speak of one round stops, but these are very rare at best. http://www.buckeyefirearms.org/node/7866
It is good to know who in our government don't believe you have any right to defend yourself or a loved one.

The Secret Service has zero, zip, nada double barreled shotguns recommended by the Vice President, but numerous "hard to operate and aim" M4 style rifles at their disposal. Ever wonder when the lies from this administration will stop?

Having three combat action awards and five years in Nam theater, and extensive small arms training.....as do many here, we all know a large caliber pistol (say anything greater than .22 is not accurate in a stress situation much less a range). Guns here can weigh in, but IMHO the best weapon in a home is a .22 auto or revolver with hollowpoints (where legal) A girl can be very deadly with this little baby. Shotguns (actually a .410 is good are also potent in a home environ) are excellent in close quarters.

Police.....gimme a break......note they are becoming militarized with SWAT teams for minor situations, tanks, armored Hums, drones, etc, etc......and the military is going to flood the police with cheap high capacity weapons soon----well after 911 they have. Some have solid military backgrounds but as we see all the time they are not our best as a group. MUCH more professional training is needed throughout our police forces.....MUCH MORE. Somehow they seem to embrace big guns and steel and not tatics, physical training and intel employment as we do in pro military arenas. SEALS they are not.

Recall the Texas Ranger that was called to put down a civil riot in a West Texas town when I was a kid......mayor greeted the Ranger as he steped off the train with one sidearm....."you it....??" mayor inquired....."we have a riot here !!!!!". Ranger...."one riot ?? ...well you get one Texas Ranger". Today they call for 15 squad cars, bomb squad and SWAT......for one small crime scene...America 2013.
