Criminal investigation underway in Bailey home explosion Friday night

Hash oil production is suspected in a home explosion that seriously injured three adults in Bailey on Friday night.

Park County Undersheriff Dave Wohlers said that local law enforcement was called to the scene Friday and wrapped up on-scene investigations Saturday morning.

“Our investigators determined the fire was caused by suspected hash oil production,” said Wohlers. “We have three adults — one female and two males — with serious burns and they were transported to local burn units in the Denver metro area. While the on-scene arson and law enforcement investigation wrapped up on-scene this morning, the criminal investigation is ongoing.”
