Investigation ongoing as bomb threat called in to Columbine HS
All is clear at Columbine High School, according to the Jeffco Sheriff's Office on Thursday afternoon, but an investigation remains ongoing after authorities received a bomb threat earlier in the day.
According to Jeffco Sheriff’s Office PIO Mike Taplin, at 9:20 a.m., an individual called authorities to say there were explosive devices in the school, and that they were waiting outside the building with a gun. Taplin said he was unsure which number the individual called, whether it was Safe to Tell, dispatch or another number.
Multiple law enforcement and fire agencies were on scene, including Morrison Police, Colorado State Patrol, Littleton Fire and South Metro Fire.
